  1. Hi Akhlis! I found your blog by chance and here I am reading your posts religiously. I like them. Keep them coming. 🙂

P.S. I didn’t know that you’re an Indonesian until ‘About Me’ tab told me so.

    1. Hi Kalyan!
Thank you for reading. It’s been a while since you gave me that Google Wave invite. And now GW is done. Haha. I still remember that! Speaking of India, I’m learning yoga now and I really hope I’ll be in India and see you someday. 🙂

  4. Nice to stumble upon your blog. I am an aspiring polyglot, too. Let’s have fun learning languages 🙂

      1. Oh, you know the Korean word gongju? 🙂

Yeah, we must go learn more languages and be a polyglot!

  5. Hi Akhlis,

Just came across your blog, and like it much. Would love to read more, even though I sort of hate you for not gaining weight in spite of you being an emotional eater. That’s unfair to the rest of us!

  6. Even though I am a dancer, do you have any tips on how to become more flexible?

I have a tight lower back, and hamstrings, which prevent me from being able to do more.. help? 🙂

  7. Hi Akhlis. My name is Dawn Meier and I wrote the book A Bird Named Enza. I found a website with your entire Thesis you wrote about my book when you went to Diponegoro University in 2009. I had no idea you were doing this and wanted to find you online to tell you what a great job you did.
Also, I assumed you passed the requirements for your degree. It is pretty crazy to pick this Thesis up from half way around the world. I am honored you picked my book for your work. No one here in the United States can believe that it really happened (including me).
Good luck with your literature degree. I see from the internet that you are using your degree wisely. Good for you. Have a good life. Dawn

    1. Oh my goodness! Hi Dawn! So great to see you. Finally! Thank you for reaching me out. So flattered. Hope you are doing well. The current pandemic brings me back to scenes in the novel. Yes I always remember the novel. Would love to exchange some more stories with you via email akhlis@protonmail.com. so nice to see you, Dawn.
